A major medical association launched a large ASP-based Web portal, with four servers, as a vehicle to share information among its member-physicians to assist in the diagnosis of complex medical conditions.

The medical association needed to find a solution to overcome several concerns in the transfer of medical information. The association required the ability to transfer large files and allow complete accessibility to information to members while keeping medical records secure.

After purchasing FileUpEE, their doctors regardless of their location, could send files of any size, including tele-radiology images that were over 200 MB, flawlessly to their Web portal.

The information arrived at the portal and, with no need to replicate the information on every server, was accessible by each member-doctor off any server in the cluster.

Despite complete accessibility to the records within the membership, sensitive medical information was stored centrally and securely behind a firewall on a file server.

Thanks to FileUpEE, doctors could now quickly receive, analyze and provide diagnosis within minutes without exposing patient information to the public.
