FileUp EnterpriseFileUpEE Promotes
A Fully Secure
Architecture

A client Web browser initiates an HTTP POST Request to one of possibly many servers in a Web farm. It is at the Web farm level where FileUp Enterprise Edition (FileUpEE) then streams* the request over HTTP to a file server which is isolated behind a second firewall that accepts only SOAP requests over a specified port.

Not just a storage device, the file server is an application with logic about how and where to save the files. This ensures that uploaded files are available for later downloads regardless which of the Web servers will process the request. There is no need to replicate data between all of the Web servers.

The Web servers and isolated file server talk over HTTP, so for once, documents uploaded over the Web aren’t stored on the untrusted Web servers in the DMZ.

*Full streaming functionality is not available in .NET
