SoftArtisans software is licensed and priced on a PER SERVER or PER SERVER CPU basis. A server license or CPU license is required on each server or server CPU where SoftArtisans software is installed. An additional license is required for each server, development PC or test machine where the product is installed. There are no per-user, per IP address or per Web site licenses. There are no runtime royalties.

SoftArtisans Upgrade Policy

A FileUp Enterprise Edition (FileUpEE) license is required on every file and Web server where FileUpEE software is installed. Licensing is determined by number of CPUs in the deployment server configuration. There are no per-user, per IP address, or per Web site costs. The FileUpEE license does not allow redistribution of FileUp Enterprise Edition.

FileUp Standard and Professional Edition Licensing

The FileUp license does not allow redistribution of FileUp Standard Edition or Professional Edition.

Client-side Product Licensing

SoftArtisans client-side tools are also licensed per server. There are no per-client fees. When client-side tools are loaded, a dialog box is displayed asking the user's permission to install and run the client-side software.

Multiple Server Licenses

SoftArtisans offers discounted value packs for multiple server licenses: a 10-pack, 25-pack and 50-pack. For even greater volume pricing, please contact our sales team for a quote.

Product Upgrades

SoftArtisans offers upgrade pricing once major product versions are released. Priority support subscription holders are eligible for free upgrades within one year of purchasing their subscription package. FileUp customers are eligible for competitive upgrades from particular file transfer products.

SoftArtisans Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) Program

If you are interested in bundling a SoftArtisans component into your application product for resale or distribution, you must have a valid, signed, and fully paid OEM agreement with SoftArtisans. Please see the SoftArtisans OEM program for more information.

Redistribution of SoftArtisans Free Components

Redistribution of SoftArtisans free components, such as SoftArtisans SMTPmailFree, is not allowed without SoftArtisans expressed written permission.

Customers Who Previously Purchased a Site License

Site licenses and site license renewals are no longer available. Upon expiration of the site license, customers may upgrade to the equivalent number of server licenses at a significant discount. Contact SoftArtisans sales for assistance.
